The Clarkston Community Center is inviting artists to submit work for its 2026 Winter Gallery Exhibition, a community exhibition celebrating fabric, textile, fiber, and related mixed-media art.

We are looking for work that reflects creativity, craftsmanship, personal expression, cultural traditions, storytelling, and the many ways artists use fabric and textiles as an artistic medium.

Artists from Clarkston, DeKalb County, and the greater Atlanta area are encouraged to submit their work for consideration.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome artists working across a variety of textile and fiber-based practices, including:

  • Textile arts
  • Fiber arts
  • Crochet
  • Quilting
  • Sewing
  • Embroidery
  • Weaving
  • Tatting and lace-making
  • Garment and wearable art
  • Soft sculpture
  • Traditional or cultural textile arts
  • Mixed media incorporating fabric or textiles
  • Other related practices

Artists of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to submit.

Submit Your Work

Artists may submit up to five works for consideration.

The initial submission is designed to be simple. Artists will be asked to share basic information about their artistic practice, an artist statement, photographs of the work they would like considered, and basic details about each piece.

Submission Deadline

Thursday, October 22, 2026

The exhibition team will review submissions following the deadline. Selected artists are expected to be notified between October 28 and October 30, 2026.

Selected artists will then receive additional information regarding participation, exhibition agreements, artwork installation, and an artist walkthrough at the Clarkston Community Center.

Exhibition and Holiday Market

Selected works will be featured as part of the 2026 Winter Gallery Exhibition at the Clarkston Community Center.

The exhibition will also connect with the Center's 2026 Holiday Market on Saturday, December 5, creating opportunities for visitors to experience the artwork alongside local vendors, performances, and other community programming.

Additional opportunities for participating artists, including artist talks or demonstrations, may also be incorporated into the exhibition programming.

Apply to the Winter Gallery Exhibition

Interested artists should complete the online Call for Artists Interest & Artwork Submission Form by October 22, 2026.

Artists may submit photographs of up to five works for consideration.

Submitting an interest form does not guarantee selection. Final artwork selections and placement will be determined by the Clarkston Community Center exhibition team based on the overall exhibition, available space, installation requirements, and suitability of the submitted work.
