About the Program
Care & Connection is a free eight-week wellness and social connection program offered through a partnership between the Clarkston Community Center, Georgia State University, and the Refugee Women’s Network.
The program brings adults together in small groups for weekly sessions focused on mindfulness, reflection, social connection, and a shared creative or wellness activity.
Sessions typically last approximately two to three hours, depending on the cohort and activity. Participants are also encouraged to practice what they learn between sessions.
Care & Connection has been offered through multiple cohorts, including English-speaking and Arabic-speaking groups, to help make the program accessible to members of Clarkston’s diverse community.
No previous experience with mindfulness or the program activities is required.
