Leaders of Tomorrow
The Leaders of Tomorrow program is a program that is focused on creating youth leaders in refugee, immigrant and BIPOC communities. The Leaders of Tomorrow is a 8 month training program where youth participants learn about leadership through learning about the voting process, how to be engaged in their community, and understanding how to provide resources to their communities through advocacy. The Leaders of Tomorrow program is provided through our partnership with the Institute of Educational Leadership (IEL).
In the spring of 2021, the Clarkston Community Center was able to graduate 15 youth participants in this program. These same students were able to showcase what they learned and expressed their educated opinions on the issues their communities face and how they can effectively counter them.
