Keep Your Community Safe – Get Vaccinated!

Don't let yourself get caught feeling under the weather! The Clarkston Community Center is hosting a vaccine drive on Monday, December 12 from 11am - 5pm for vaccines that protect against the flu virus AND for vaccines that protect against the COVID-19 virus. Working with our partners from CORE Response, the International Rescue Committee, DeKalb County School District Student Health Services, Idlewood Elementary School, and the DeKalb County Board of Health, we will be offering the following vaccines:

  • Pfizer adult primary series (1st and 2nd):  12 years and up.
  • Pfizer primary series peds: 5 - 11 years.
  • Pfizer Bivalent adults:  12 and up.
  • Pfizer Bivalent Peds: 5 - 11 years.
  • Moderna primary series: Ages 18 and older.
  • 1st and 2nd dose (Pfizer, Moderna and Pediatric Pfizer)

The initial or primary two-dose COVID-19 vaccination still uses the original monovalent formula. Patients must complete a primary COVID-19 series before getting the bivalent booster.

  • Bivalent Booster (Pfizer & Moderna )

The CDC recommend Bivalent Booster for everyone ( 5 yrs. and older ) as long as it’s been at least 2 months since your last COVID-19 shot and/or 3 months since you had a COVID-19 infection. The Bivalent Booster provides protection against the original strain, as well as the omicron BA.4 and BA.5 subvariant. This Bivalent Booster will help our immune system fight off a wider range of variants.

Anyone 5 yrs. and older who had their primary vaccine series or last booster more that 2 months ago is eligible for the Bivalent Booster.

  • Fluzone® Quadrivalent (Flu shot).

Fluzone® Quadrivalent is a vaccine indicated for active immunization for the prevention of influenza disease caused by influenza A subtype viruses and type B viruses.

Fluzone® Quadrivalent is approved for use in persons 6 months of age and older.

Those receiving a COVID-19 vaccination will also be eligible to receive a gift card in the following cases:

Families of children ages 5-11 who receive a COVID-19 vaccine will be eligible to receive a $100 grocery gift card.

All families who have a family member who receives a COVID-19 will be eligible to receive a $100 gift card.

No incentives are available for only receiving a flu vaccine. A COVID-19 vaccine must be received to be eligible for incentivization.

If you are planning to receive a 2nd COVID-19 dose or a COVID-19 booster vaccination, please remember to bring your CDC vaccination card with you.
