Clarkston Youth Share Their Voices at the Youth Displacement Project
Last Saturday, April 11, 2026, the Clarkston Community Center was filled with energy, thoughtful conversation, and a strong sense of community.
Young people gathered at the Center for the Youth Displacement Project, where they shared honest reflections about the challenges they are facing in their schools and communities and began imagining what comes next for their futures.
We are deeply grateful to Professor Pegah Zamani and the team from Kennesaw State University’s College of Architecture and Construction Management for leading this important work and creating space for youth voices to be heard. We also extend a special thank you to the volunteers from Rise ’N’ Reach for bringing engaging activities and distributing sporting goods to our youth. Their generosity and enthusiasm helped make the day even more meaningful.
This is what community looks like: showing up for one another, creating space for growth, and investing in the next generation.
