2017 Youth Summer Voucher Program, sponsored by DeKalb County Community Development Department

Voucher Distribution Locations and Times

In order for a family to receive a Youth Summer Voucher for their child, they must come to the distribution location with their driver’s license or other proof of DeKalb County residency, original income eligibility documentation and (2) photocopies of that same documentation for each child requesting a voucher. Vouchers will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

Note: The vouchers are worth $250 and may cover a certain period of time depending on the camp fee charged at your child’s camp location, and be aware that it’s okay to find a location that suits your child after picking the vouchers on these specific days as listed below. Please be informed that at Clarkston Community Center, your child with a voucher will be able to attend camp for one month with an additional discount extended to you.

2016 HUD INCOME LIMITS to be used in the event. 2017 HUD INCOME LIMITS are not released prior to May 1, 2017. Any HUD INCOME LIMIT updates will be sent via email.

Required Income Verification (Choose 1 of 3)

  1. – Medicaid Card or Peach Care Insurance Card
  2. – Government Assisted Insurance
  3. – 2016 Signed Income Tax Return

Key points to note: 

  • Child’s name must be listed as Dependent on any 2016 Tax Return being used as Income Verification.
  • EBT, Food Stamps, DFACS Case Numbers or the Free/Reduced Lunch Program are NOT considered eligible forms of income verification and shall NOT be accepted.
  • Again, Vouchers can only be accepted by DeKalb County residents and can only be redeemed at pre-approved programs within DeKalb County.
