Lambadina Café
Small businesses play a powerful role in shaping the character of our community—and few embody this better than Lambadina Café.

“Lambadina” means “light” in Amharic, and Elsa, the proud owner, hopes her café brings that light to Clarkston. Since 2009, Lambadina has been a welcoming spot on Market Street, serving delicious Eritrean ginger coffee, Ful breakfast, and hearty salmon injera & rice dinners.

Elsa’s passion for hospitality started when she helped at her aunt’s restaurant growing up. When asked why she opened Lambadina, she shared:
“Because I love the people. I love it. Clarkston is where I want to be—I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.”
Despite the challenges of wearing many hats as a young business owner, Elsa has grown to embrace creativity, prioritization, and a strong sense of purpose—for herself and her family.
