Summer Camp – Over 1000 refugee and Georgia young children have enjoyed summer camp at the Clarkston Community Center in the past few years.  Parents are able to trust that their children will engage in academic and artistic pursuits while they work long hours. In our summer camps the kids have the opportunity to get help with academics, learn english, art, life skills, leadership, violence prevention and go for field trips.  The campers are from diverse ethnic groups and countries including: Iraq, Ethiopia, Sudan, Syria, Nepal, Burma, Uganda and USA.  Our camp teaches the kids about diversity and how to get along with others. $350 can give one child the opportunity to attend summer camp for one month session.

After School Program –  Clarkston Community Center has focused on incorporating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) in the programming. The high school teens in the area have a place to go and engage with fellow students and adults.  We have programming on diversity, bullying, mentor ship, civic & community service, art, music, field trips and the helping them with academics.  For $250 you can give one students can attend after school for the semester

Seniors on the Go – The third area of giving is our seniors, who often times are forgotten about. Over 50 seniors are served on a regular basis with English as Second Language classes (ESL), Citizenship classes, Tai Chi, Art Classes, Dance Classes, Gardening classes and computer literacy classes. All these classes are geared towards improving the livelihood of the seniors both at home and in the communities that they live.  $150 can give one senior the opportunity to attend ESL classes for one month

Thanks so much for your generous support!
