At Clarkston Community Center, our after-school youth program continues to be a hub of creativity, learning, and connection. Recently, students enjoyed a one-of-a-kind experience during an Improv Workshop led by talented performers from Dad’s Garage Theatre Company, in partnership with Positive Growth Inc. Clubhouse.

Improv Workshop with Dad’s Garage

With the help of Joel Boyd and Madeline Evans from Dad’s Garage, students dove into the world of improvisational theatre—exploring their imaginations, sharpening their communication skills, and learning the power of teamwork through play. The energy was high, the laughter was loud, and the students walked away with newfound confidence and memories they’ll never forget.

A heartfelt thank-you to Dad’s Garage for bringing such joy and inspiration to our young learners!

What’s Improv?
Improv is short for improvisational theatre—a form of live performance where actors create scenes on the spot without a script. It’s fun, spontaneous, and a powerful tool for building self-expression and collaboration. Curious to learn more? Visit Dad’s Garage Theatre Company and explore their creative world.
